Kid's Division:
Models will be judged based on correctness of breed and overall condition of the model. Models will be pinned 1-6. Champ and reserve of the halter division will receive recycled rosettes and a special prize, TBD. Callbacks for the championship will include all 1st and 2nd place horses from the halter classes.
TAGS:
We will be using tags for this show. The horse's breed and gender need to be on the front, and the horse's name and your initials/name need to be on the back. Please write or type neatly!
First time? The tags that will be used at this show are the white "price" hangtags that you see at garage sales, Breyerfest, antique stores, etc. These tags can be found at any office supply store or Walmart, Target, etc. Please contact me if you have any questions.
LUNCH
Lunch is $5 per person and will be build-your-own sandwiches. There will be multiple options, as well as a vegetarian option. Pop/water, chips, sides, sandwich toppings, and dessert will be included. If you have any special dietary requests, including allergies, please either indicate it on your entry form or contact me so we may accommodate you. Purchasing lunch through the show is NOT required, and you are welcome to either bring your own lunch or go out. We will break for lunch for 45 mins around noon.
RULES:
Please read an abide by the rules. Breaking the rules may result in you being asked to leave the show without a refund.
CLASS LIMITS:
There will be a limit of 3 horses per halter class. We will be doing buy-ins at this show if you have more entries than the specified limit. Each buy-in will be $1 per horse/entry. The dollar needs to be placed beside the horse(s) on the table before the class starts. Classes may be split or combined as seen fit by the judge. Split classes will abide by the same rules as stated above.
Halter
One halter class per horse. The only exception is if a horse qualifies for both a breed class and a collectibility/workmanship class, then the model may show in ONE breed class and ONE collectibility/workmanship class. *Any model that is determined as breaking this rule may be disqualified at the judge's discretion.* Absolutely no tack, handlers, props, or halters are allowed, unless they enhance the collectibility merit of the model for models shown in the collectibility classes. Examples include original tack/riders as part of a set, original boxes, original stands, etc.
DIVISIONS and JUDGES:
OF Breyer/Other- Rachel Butler
OF Stone- Tricia Singer
Custom/Artist Resin (CM/AR)- Silke Brockmoeller
OF Mini- Kati Stupka
Kid's Division- Joanne Raver
DIVISION SPECIFICATIONS:

Custom (CM): Any model that is altered from it's original factory finish.
Artist Resin (AR): Original sculpture by an artist or a limited edition resin casting, which was not mass produced.
OF China: Any model that was mass produced that has a porcelain/clay/otherwise delicate/breakable body. Mass produced resins are also included. OF Chinas will show in the OF Breyer/Other division. OF Mini Chinas will show in the OF Mini Division.
Custom Glazed China (CMG): Any model that was cast and glazed by an original artist, that has a porcelain/clay/otherwise delicate/breakable body. Not mass produced. ALL CMG Chinas will show in the CM/AR division.
Mini: Any model that is Pebbles/Little Bits sized and smaller. Classics show with the traditional sized horses.
Foals: Includes any horse that is under 24 months of age.
Fantasy: Any pegasi or unicorn equid. A unicorn is defined as an equid with an added horn. A pegasus is defined as any equid with added wings. May be either or a combination of the two. Other equids that do not fall into these two categories may show in this class, but they will NOT qualify for a NAN card (NAMHSA's rules).
"Other" Pure/Part Breed Classes: The "Other" classes within specific sections (Light, Draft, Sport, etc) are reserved only for other pure horses of that type or mixed breeds of the same type (i.e. a Clydesdale x Shire would show in other draft; stock-type grade would show in other stock). The "Other" class towards the end of the division is reserved for other breeds that do not fit into the sections (this includes miniature horses), and for mixes across types (i.e. a clydesdale x TB would show here). Quarter horses, Paints, and Appaloosas that are mixed with Thoroughbreds, will show in the regular stock classes.
Kid's Division: This division is open to showers who are 14 and under. Showers may not have won any sectional champs or reserves in a NAN qualifying division at ANY show. This division is not eligible to receive NAN cards. Classes are open to horses of all mediums- OF, CM, AR, china, etc.
DOCUMENTATION:
Documentation is encouraged, but not required, for uncommon breeds/colors. Documentation is REQUIRED for any model showing in collectibility. No one can be an expert in every subject. That said, please be aware that by not providing documentation for "uncommon" entries, you are relying on the judge's knowledge when judging your model. If anything is questionable, the judge reserves the right to place the model according to his/her knowledge base, which may result in a great model not receiving a ribbon. When in doubt, document you entries! Documentation can include anything from a notecard, COA, printed paper from a website or of your own making, a book, etc. Please try to not place large books or tablets on the table as they take up a lot of room. The judge reserves the right to ask you to remove your documentation if it is taking up too much room. Try to be concise!
MISSING MODELS:
Please try to keep track of your models. If you accidentally forget your model in the ring and the next class has started, the judge reserves the right to move your model out of the way, if need be. The judge is NOT responsible for any damages incurred during this process.
We will also have a missing model policy. Sometimes, there are many models on the table that are identical and they can get mixed up. Please check your tags carefully when picking your models up from the rings. If you notice that your model is missing, please tell myself or another member of the show staff IMMEDIATELY. An announcement will be made for people to check tags. If you have not recovered your model within 5-10 minutes of that announcement, we will stop the entire show until the model is found. If you came with a model, you deserve to go home with it, and every effort will be made for you to do so. Now, please note that just because someone accidentally picked up your model (and even packed it away) does not necessarily mean the individual was attempting to steal your model. We all make mistakes, especially when there are 10+ of the same model on the table. I have done this countless times when I was feeling rushed, or I was being careless. I've literally had to dig through bins before to find another entrant's model that I had absent-mindedly packed away. It happens, and 9 times out of 10, it's an accident. Please be respectful of each other in this situation, and please, always triple-check your tags.
PROXY SHOWING:
Proxy showing is allowed, but the entrant will need to pay an entry fee of $20. The show holder, show hall, and all affiliates are NOT responsible for any lost, stolen, misplaced, damaged, or otherwise missed, models, awards, classes, etc. PLEASE PICK YOUR PROXY SHOWERS CAREFULLY. Please reference either the Model Horse Transaction Board group on Facebook, MHHR (Model Horse Hobby Reference) Yahoo! Group, Model Horse Blab, Fallen Leaves, etc. for references BEFORE sending your models off to someone that you may or may not know. Even if you think that you know the person, check their current references! I cannot stress this enough. If you need help finding these pages, I will gladly point you in the right direction.
